The ballet competition, which has been organized in Slovenia since 2016 by the Association of Ballet Artists of Slovenia, was renamed into the TUTU GRAND PRIX International Ballet & Choreography Competition in 2023.

The TUTU Ballet competition, as the second Slovenian ballet competition, was founded in 2016 with the aim that, unlike already existing Baltek under the auspices of TEMSIG, it also enables the competition to students of those Slovenian ballet schools that teach according to the basic and not the extended program, but also includes group competition among its categories. From 2016 to 2021 TUTU was the Slovenian ballet competition, until the International Ballet & Choreography Competition TUTU was organized for the first time in 2021.

In order that TUTU within coming years will gain its importance, its resonance and will become slowly one of important International ballet competitions, we renamed it into TUTU GRAND PRIX in 2023.
